#ProudToBe, YouTube’s 2016 global Pride campaign focused on the spectrum of identity, sending strong messages of acceptance. After a year of bathroom bills and the massacre at Pulse nightclub, the message behind #ProudToBe was clear: “When identity is questioned, answer with Pride.” The campaign video received 9.9 million views, involved over 60 creator videos worldwide, and received over 111k social mentions.
